Wenzday’s Top Tracks of 2018
Wenzday’s Top Tracks of 2018

Chameleon producer/DJ Taylor Chung (aka Wenzday) is known to drop anything, from bassline house to chop-worthy dubstep. Having crushed her appearances at Lost Lands, EDC and the recent 40oz Cult Bassrush takeover it’s no wonder Wenzday was dubbed one to watch in 2018.

From sound system murderation to throwing down on her regular Dash Radio show Everyday is Wenzday, Taylor has mastered the art of multitasking all while nurturing the 40oz Cult brand and penning remixes for labels like Circus Records. While the sun sets on a year full of memories and milestones Bassrush caught up with Wenzday who shines a spotlight on a few tracks that kept the vibes flowing all year long.

Wenzday “Jungle Demon”
“This is my favorite song I’ve written to date. I’ve been playing it out in my sets for the past couple months and excited that it’s finally out on Gold Digger Records out of France.”

Dack Janiels “Bad Bitches”
“This tune is inspired by my brother’s love of old school slasher movies. It works perfectly in all of his sets since it combines his love of the horror while still being campy and fun.”

HAMi “Destroy”
“This song is off the Fear the Fortycompilation release earlier this year on 40oz Cult. It really encompasses the inspiration behind the concept of Fear the Forty: 40oz Cult is an unstoppable force and here to stay!”

Sikdope & ZOOTAH “Bubblegum”
“I got to play two shows with Sikdope this past year and this song is always a crowd favorite. He’s not only an incredible producer and insanely energetic DJ but a great friend to me. I love rinsing this tune in the middle of my sets!”

Habstrakt “About You”
“Uncle Habby’s most recent release on Never Say Die is a certified banger. I love how atmospheric the song is combined with his amazing sound design that takes you on this crazy ride from house to trap.”

Dubloadz “Nitro”
“I STAN FOR HOUSELOADZ. I absolutely love Dubloadz take on bass house. This song is the perfect mix of his wonky vibes combined with a four-on-the-floor house beat.”

PEEKABOO & G-Rex “Babatunde”
“I’ve always been a fan of deep dubstep and freeform bass so I’m absolutely obsessed with this collab from Peekaboo and G-Rex. Hearing this live at Lost Lands was a weekend highlight for sure.”

Space Laces “Kaiju”
“This is hands down one of my favorite bass house tunes of 2018. To me, it’s a perfect mix of dubstep and house and always goes off live.”

Algo “Watch Out”
“Algo and I have become best friends this past year and I’m constantly in awe of his incredible work ethic and constant output of great music. This is my favorite tune off his Watch OutEP on Never Say Die Black Label.”

The Chainsmokers & Drew Love “Somebody” (Sippy Remix)
“Sippy is a badass up and coming female dubstep producer/DJ out of Sydney, Australia. I love how she flipped this song into a dubstep banger. I can’t wait to hear more from her in 2019!”
