Ring up the trap squad as Flosstradamus relaunch their Hi Def Youth (HDY) label with a smoking hot single, “Stronger,” from Los Angeles’ own Yultron. As Floss tells it, the tune is designed to reach out to all the heads out there going through “rough patches,” and to remind that “no matter what, we will overcome.”
Yultron himself says that the tune “was originally written for my grandparents because I miss them and wanted to write a song that inspires people to be stronger.” Centered on an uplifting atmosphere designed to get those hands up, don’t think this one is all cuddly with no bite as the slow burning bassline quickly gives way to the sucker punch drop that still packs a whopping punch for the dancefloor.
Knowing that head might mistake the emo message behind the tune as one that means the tune is soft, Yultron is quick to point out, “Instead of making a sad tune, I made it hard so that it empowers you.”
