The Toronto-based Zeds Dead release their long-awaited ID with Blanke and we are all about it. Having been a mainstay in their festival appearances and most recently flexing it live at Red Rocks, “The Machines” is an anabolic banger of the highest order.
It’s the fourth official release from Zeds Dead this year and where earlier cuts pushed genre boundaries into house and downtempo territory, “The Machines” is a glorious return to full-throttle electro-driven dubstep.
With their Deadbeats label tour in full swing, the single drops just in time to not only add fuel to the flames they are igniting on dance floors across North America but serves as a proper nod to the ever-impressive Blanke who is coming off his own hot streak of stunning projects including the drum and bass fueled ÆON:TWO EP released on Deadbeats just last month.
With his highly anticipated appearance at Nocturnal Wonderland on the horizon, Blanke serves as an added bonus to the OG flex that Zeds Dead bring to “The Machines” as a bridge from their more genre-bending Altered States work to the crowd-crushing Deadbeats bizness.
This one’s out now so lock yours in here.
