UK-based producer and one of bass music’s most well-known names, Zomboy has released the five-track Neon Grave EP on Never Say Die Records! Aside from the track “Like A Bitch” that was released last month, the producer has laid low since his 2014 LP, The Outbreak. We have no idea what he’s been up to but it’s definitely been well worth the wait as Zomboy returns in top form.
“Lights Out” opens things up with an unexpected, pop-influenced melody before fierce beats burst through to make way for a heavy hitting, infectious drop. Zomboy continues to surprise fans with “Dip It,” venturing into the bass house genre before “Get With It” features the all-familiar screeching synths and head-banging melodies aimed to satisfy his diehard fans. “Miles Away” is a much more laidback cut, featuring vocals from Nefera; this one going to be huge just in time for festival season! And just in case you couldn’t get enough of “Like A Bitch,” Zomboy blesses fans with an extended remix of the filthy track.
All in all, Neon Grave represents the most diversity we’ve seen from the producer, reflecting the larger shifts in the culture since his last LP. Still, it’s when Zomboy hits those dubstep vibes that things catch fire. Be sure to grab your copy here!
